Our history
Nielsen Bros was founded in 1946 by brothers Tom and Lloyd Nielsen to sell carpet and tile out of their small Ballard storefront. Early on, we sold carpet and tile, period. Over the years, we’ve grown to three showrooms in the Seattle metropolitan area and expanded our selection from just carpet and tile to virtually every type of flooring, including carpet, hardwood, laminate, marble, ceramic, bamboo, composites and much, much more!
Today, Nielsen Bros has over 22,000 square feet of selection available in our Bellevue, Auburn and Lynnwood showrooms. Tastes and styles have changed, but Nielsen Bros has always strived to stay at the forefront of flooring fashion, bringing new products and materials to our showrooms as they become available.
